This adorable 10-12 week old, 8 lb Jack Russell Terrier mix has stolen the hearts of his foster family with his goofy strut, his beautiful green eyes, and his endless supply of affection. Equal parts playful adventurer and professional snuggle bug, Dazzle is the kind of puppy who makes everyone around him smile. A Day in the Life of Dazzle Dazzle starts his day bright and early around 6 a.m., ready for breakfast and a quick trip outside for a potty break. Once his belly is full, it's time for puppy business— which mostly consists of running, exploring, wrestling with toys, and playing with his sister Shimmer. Like any good puppy, Dazzle gives 100% to playtime. By around 8:30 or 9 a.m., he has completely exhausted himself and is ready for a well-earned nap. He loves curling up next to his sister, but he's equally happy snuggling with a nearby human. Throughout the day, Dazzle follows a wonderfully predictable routine of play, naps, meals, and cuddles. He entertains himself well with toys, settles quietly in his x-pen when needed, and never complains if the family needs to step out for a bit. Lunch is around noon, dinner is around 5 p.m., and by 8 p.m., Dazzle is ready to wind down for the evening. His favorite part of the day might just be couch time. He loves curling up next to his people while they relax and watch TV before happily settling in for the night. Once bedtime arrives, he sleeps soundly until morning. A Sweet Soul with a Silly Side Dazzle may take a minute to size up new people when they first arrive. Sometimes he'll give a few cautious barks or keep his distance while he decides whether they're friend or foe. Fortunately, it doesn't take long for him to realize that everyone is actually a friend. Once he warms up, Dazzle transforms into a total cuddle bunny. He loves being held, enjoys giving kisses, and wants to be wherever his people are. If you get up and walk to another room, don't be surprised if you hear tiny paws following behind you. His foster family describes him as one of the sweetest puppies they've ever met. In fact, one of their favorite things about Dazzle is watching him sleep. Somehow he always looks like he's smiling, making it nearly impossible not to stop and give him a few kisses. The Famous Dazzle Strut Every dog has something that makes them unique, and for Dazzle, it's his walk. It's difficult to describe exactly, but somehow he manages to bounce, waddle, and strut all at the same time. Watching him march proudly across the room is guaranteed to brighten your day. His foster family has repeatedly tried to capture it on video because it is just that adorable. And if you ever need a laugh, Dazzle is happy to provide one. One day, he won a tug-of-war match against his sister over a sock. Instead of simply enjoying his victory, he proudly strutted away with the sock in his mouth as if announcing to the world, "I won! I won!" It was so funny his foster family still talks about it. Dog-Friendly and Easygoing Dazzle has done wonderfully with the resident adult dog in his foster home. He absolutely adores her and loves being near her, but he's also very respectful of her boundaries. If she signals that she wants space, Dazzle immediately understands. His ability to read other dogs' cues at such a young age has made him an easy addition to the household. He would likely enjoy having another canine companion, but he would also be happy soaking up all the attention as an only dog. Potty Training Superstar For a young puppy, Dazzle is already making incredible progress with house training. In two weeks, he's only had one accident on the carpet. Otherwise, he consistently uses puppy pads or goes outside to potty. He already understands what it means to go "outside for a peepee" and often responds almost immediately when asked. His foster family has been especially impressed that he isn't interested in marking everything he sees. He's developing excellent potty habits and is well on his way to becoming fully house trained. Puppy Habits and Good Manners Like most puppies, Dazzle enjoys chewing—but thankfully, he prefers appropriate items. Dog toys, chew toys, and treasures he discovers in the yard are much more interesting to him than furniture. He hasn't damaged anything in his foster home and has been remarkably respectful of household belongings. His latest hobby is collecting rocks from the yard, which his foster family finds endlessly amusing. Dazzle will bark when unfamiliar visitors arrive or when the doorbell rings, but he's simply letting everyone know he's paying attention. Once he realizes there is no danger, he settles down quickly. His Perfect Home Dazzle is looking for a home filled with love, laughter, and plenty of opportunities for cuddles. Most importantly, Dazzle wants a family that will cherish him as much as he will cherish them. Why You'll Fall in Love Dazzle is the complete puppy package: affectionate, smart, easygoing, playful, and incredibly lovable. He has a predictable routine, learns quickly, entertains himself appropriately, and is already developing wonderful manners. Add in his striking markings, beautiful green eyes, and that unforgettable little strut, and it's easy to understand why his foster family considers him one of their favorite foster puppies ever. Their advice? Don't wait. Puppies this special don't stay available for long.
