Cockatiels can be social, cuddly, goofy, and tend to love whistling! Native to the semi-arid regions of Australia, these ground foraging birds can live up to 20 years with proper nutrition and care, and can be a loyal companion. Cockatiels tend to not be major talkers, but instead prefer to chirp or whistle. We recommend that cockatiels live in pairs or groups whenever possible. Cockatiels can live up to 20 years with proper nutrition and care, and can be a loyal companion.We recommend a cage that is at least 27”x24” (Width x depth) with a maximum of ½” bar spacing. Cages should include lots of perches, trays for food/water and lots of toys for enrichment.
