He’s a mid-energy boy who likes to run and play but will also settle in to chew on a toy by himself. River will thrive in a home where he can get support and encouragement to build his confidence and show the world what a special pup he is.River is on the shy side when meeting new people. He likes to set the pace when he’s meeting someone new, taking time to sniff them. Once he’s done that, River loves to be close to people, especially if they rub his incredibly soft ears. He’s done wonderfully with other dogs, playing with them respectfully. River has met some older dog-savvy kids who let him come to them, and he did well with them, too. His playful side comes out when he feels comfortable, and he loves to chomp on a toy and occasionally check in with his humans for pets!River has been working very hard on his puppy house manners and is making great progress. He is very good in his crate during the day and overnight, and is working on alerting consistently when he needs to go outside. River hasn’t been on many leash walks, and is excited to perfect his leash manners and build confidence exploring the world with his family. Like any puppy, he may need extra time and support as he adjusts to new routines, but with patience, consistency, and time, he is sure to build on his progress and be an amazing companion.River is the sweetest boy who’s ready to come out of his shell.
