Hi!  My  name is Marcel and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked up by animal control and taken to a super scary place called a shelter where, after my hold time was up, I was in danger of being placed on something bad called "the list".  A small local rescue saw me and reached out to BCAA to see if they could take me in and help me and they said yes!  I am a little shy and skittish when I first meet new people and going into new environments but it doesn't take me long to learn I can trust you and then my foster mom says I'm super sweet.  She also says I'm super handsome but her best guess as to my breed mix is a yorkie mixed with something.  I was a little bit of a mess when I first came from the shelter but foster mom brushed me out and then gave me a bath, and now she says I smell good and I'm really a handsome little dude!  I appear to be around 1-2yo and weigh approximately 10-12lbs.  I have gotten along with all of the other small dogs I have met but it doesn't appear that I'm going to be good in a home with small critters as I appear to have something my foster mom says is a prey drive, so a home without any other small creatures will be best (no cats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs ... you get the picture!).  I have done well in my crate so far without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding; however, I would prefer to be out with you.  I am not real good on leash so a secured fenced yard will be needed in order for me to take care of my business.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
