Samba — Chatty, Affectionate, and Full of Purrsonality Hello there! My name is Samba, and if you're looking for a cat who has something to say, I might be your purrfect match. I'm a beautiful Maine Coon mix with a luxurious long coat, a big personality, and plenty of charm. Like many Maine Coons, I'm incredibly people-oriented, communicative, and devoted to my humans. I was originally adopted from Give Me Shelter in 2021, and while my person loves me dearly, he is moving overseas and feels such a big move would be too much for me. So now I'm looking for a new family to love. I'm a senior lady, but don't let that fool you—I still have plenty of spunk, playfulness, and opinions to share. I'm a wonderfully chatty cat who loves interacting with my people, and I'd be happiest with someone who enjoys carrying on conversations with their feline companion. I have a whole vocabulary of chirps, meows, and commentary, and I'm not shy about using it. When I'm not supervising the household, you'll usually find me stretched out in a sunny spot. I could happily spend hours napping by a window, especially if there are birds, bugs, or neighborhood happenings to watch. I'm not much of a mountain climber these days, but I do enjoy playtime, especially with wand toys and interactive toys. Most of all, I'm an affectionate girl who loves being close to my people. I'll happily snuggle in bed, curl up beside you on the couch, soak up pets and head scratches, and remind you just how special it is to share your life with a cat. Whether it's a long cuddle session or just a quick scritch on the head, I'm always happy to receive a little love. I have excellent litter box manners and am generally an easy companion. I do best on a hypoallergenic diet that keeps my tummy happy, and while I don't care much for brushing, I enjoy being pampered with a grooming glove. Like many cats, I'm not a fan of vet visits or nail trims and appreciate a little extra help staying calm for those appointments.
