Description
Gracie – Black Female, 2 Years, 80 lbs. We've got a very special girl to introduce—meet Mama Gracie! ❤️ Gracie is approximately 2 years old and weighs about 80 pounds. She came to us from a Central Valley shelter just days away from delivering her puppies. To be honest, we weren't exactly looking to take on another litter. Her foster home was already caring for two litters of orphaned puppies—the 7-week-old Country Stars and the little Folk Stars—both without mothers. As a rescue, it wasn't the smartest idea. As humans, we simply couldn't say no. Just a few days after arriving, Gracie gave birth to eight beautiful baby boys. As her puppies grew, she began wandering away from her own litter to check on the other puppies in the home. Before long, Miss Gracie had decided they were all her babies. She lovingly nurtured, nursed, cleaned, and supervised every puppy in the house. She truly has the biggest heart. Now that her motherhood duties are winding down, it's Gracie's turn to find a family of her own. Gracie is as sweet as they come. She absolutely loves water—whether it's the hose, a kiddie pool, or any opportunity to splash around. She can fetch like a professional Labrador and snores like one too! She's fully potty trained and has been the perfect house guest. She's not much of a destroyer, but she does possess elite-level food cleanup skills and never lets a crumb go to waste. Gracie is dog-friendly, cats are unknown, and she's always happy to join the resident dogs in a good squirrel patrol. Because she's spent most of her time focused on raising puppies, Gracie hasn't had extensive leash experience. However, she has done very well on trips to the veterinarian. She's eager to please, highly food motivated, and learns quickly. With a little practice and consistency, she'll do great. She is not crate trained. Gracie has spent her life caring for everyone else. Now it's time for someone to care for her.
