Ivory Ivory is a 2-year-old Great Dane mix who was found dumped near the shelter. She arrived very thin and understandably overwhelmed by her new surroundings.In playgroup, Ivory has shown a soft, gentle approach to other dogs. She prefers slow introductions and calm, respectful interactions. She has engaged with dogs like Rosie and Tyler at her own pace, often choosing to observe first before participating. When she does play, it is in a gentle, dainty style that matches her sensitive nature.Ivory can be apprehensive when first meeting new people and may be vocal or nervous in unfamiliar situations. She is more comfortable when she is given space and time to adjust rather than being rushed into interactions.She is good on leash and continues to build confidence as she learns that the world is a safe place. Due to her fast eating habits, a slow feeder is recommended.Ivory will do best in a calm, patient home with large-breed experienced adopters who understand nervous dogs and can provide structure, reassurance, and a low-pressure environment. She would benefit most from dog companions who are calm, polite, and not overly pushy.With time, patience, and understanding, Ivory has the potential to blossom into a deeply loyal and gentle companion.
