Are you looking for a protector?  A one-person/family dog? Sitka just might be the one you're looking for.  We've had Sitka since he was 5 weeks old, so we know he has not been treated badly.  He was the shy, stand-offish one of his litter.  He grew into a fearful adult.  He is bonded strongly to his foster family and loves intensely, and we know this bond is transferable with patience and gentle handling.  He is suspicious of strangers and will bark and retreat.   He has NO bite history, but we are cautious with him.  He will alert to any activity that is different in his home.  Once he's comfortable with his surroundings, he is silly, affectionate, and playful. We love Sitka, and want the best for him.  The best for him is a secure, stable home with a canine companion and a patient owner.
