BLAZE

Description

Blaze is a handsome young adult who came to us after having a scary experience - his owner passed away while they were at the beach together. Blaze was found wandering, alone and frightened. He was initially very suspicious and confused at the shelter, but staff and volunteers have made great progress helping him feel safe, so he's now showing his friendly, social side. He previously lived in a more rural area, so he's just getting used to being in busy places with car, bike and/or pedestrian traffic and can sometimes get a little overwhelmed.He's been around cats a little, but has a strong prey drive towards squirrels and other rodents. He loves to go for hikes on the beach and in other quiet places, and he's very eager to please. He's emotionally pretty sensitive, so his ideal home will be with guardians who are relatively calm and can help him feel secure and safe.
