Description

Imagine being alone in the world at a very young age, trying to find food and avoid becoming food, and as time goes on, you notice that one of the four legs that gets you around and helps you evade capture is hurting.  Something is wrong, and you have no way of healing yourself or even knowing who or what might get you mobile and out of pain.  You might not even know how you'll make it through the next day, but you keep hoping!  Lucky for little Ollie, we were trapping in his area, and we saw what he needed.  He needed the basic vet care we provide to all our cats, such as neuter and vaccines, but he also needed a leg amputation!  He has healed up with plenty of love and pain medication, and we find that cats do very well on three legs.  They can get around just fine, often to amazing effect, outleaping many cats with all their limbs.  Ollie is not precisely shy, but he did have a very rough start, so he needs someone with cat sense who will continue to actively approach him, pick him up, and otherwise show him that things are okay and will continue to be that way.  Ollie can be easily held and petted, and he will start to purr.  He just needs for his good luck to hold out a bit longer to fully relax and realize that nothing so scary will happen to him again!  Could you reassure little Ollie that he's found an easy life with you?     Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!    If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.     We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.    Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved.    All CATsNAP cats and kittens are:  Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus   Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age)  Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)   Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment  Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions  Micro-chipping as mandated by state law
