Hi!  My name is Zack and I am looking for a forever home.  I was dumped by my previous owner in a really scary place called a shelter where I was petrified with all of the loud noises and smells.  Fortunately, a shelter volunteer saw me and called her friend at BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes.  It appears that I might be a schnauzer mix but I'm still pretty small at a little under 10lbs and best guess is I'm going to be a small, maybe a smaller medium sized dog when I'm full grown.  My foster mom was told I was about a year old but when she immediately took me to the vet after picking me up, the vet told her that I was only about 12weeks old!  While I was really shy when I first came into foster, it sure didn't take me long to learn I was safe, that I was going to get really good food and treats regularly and that I would get to play with lots of other dogs around my size.  So far, I haven't even bothered those things called cats that I've run into.  I have been doing ok in my crate, better once I learned I was going to get to go in and out on a regular basis, but I'm still learning about the leash-thing so I would love a secured fenced yard to keep me safe.  I'm not a big barker and I haven't torn up any of my bedding in my crate.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
