Description
PoPo (A142524) is a 2-year-old Corgi who weighed 34.1 pounds on intake! 06/16/26 This little guy is PoPo! PoPo was surrendered to the shelter because he was not doing well with the small children in the home. PoPo was stated to growl when they would pet him around his face and neck. He never progressed to snapping, but we want to set him up for success in his next home, so we recommend that he go to a home without children and with adults who can understand his boundaries. PoPo was said to do well with adults and strangers and even climbed into our lap on intake for snuggles! In his last home, PoPo was said to be kennel-trained and housebroken (will sit by the door and whine). He was known to have a rough style of play and enjoys chewing on toys and digging in the yard. PoPo is looking for a home that can provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. If you are unfamiliar with Corgis we encourage you to research the breed prior to adoption. PoPo has no experience around cats and was known to be selective towards other dogs. His surrendering owner stated that over time, and with appropriate introductions, he did well with other dogs, but was known to growl initially. PoPo would benefit from working with a certified trainer to help him become the best version of himself. If you are interested in meeting PoPo, please let us know!
