Description

JAZZY and friends, arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine on Friday 26 June 2026 from our partner shelter in Texas. We post our available pets across the east coast and Canada and welcome applications from anywhere on the understanding that approved families must be prepared to travel to the rescue in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Health & Background Estimated Date of Birth: 2l March 2026 ✅ SPAYED ✅ NWS Transport Protocol: Credelio CAT and Capstar administered orally prior to transport from a New World Screwworm (NWS) affected area. ✅ FIV Test (SNAP): Negative ✅ FeLV Test (SNAP): Negative ✅ Eclipse 4 (FVRCP+C) Vaccination: Protects against Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (Herpesvirus-1), Feline Calicivirus, Feline Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper), and Chlamydia felis. Rabies Vaccine: Too young to receive at time of transport - WILL NEED RABIES! ✅ Microchipped with 24PetWatch and registered with the Free Pet Chip Registry. ⚖️ Weight: 18 July 2026 - 4.9 pounds Jazzy is a sweet confident kitten, who loves to snuggle and play with her kitten friends, but is also very affectionate with people, immediately going up to them to climb on their knee, their head, their back or wherever she wants (lol) will giving out her loud purring. We prefer for our young kittens to go to families who have other young kittens/cats so they can thrive and learn cat behaviour. We understand this is not always possible and it doesn't mean an instant application denial, it is just our preference. Benefits of adopting two kittens together: Built-in playmate: Kittens have endless energy. A companion provides a healthy outlet for wrestling, chasing, and play, helping to redirect natural hunting instincts and play aggression away from people, furniture, and household items. Teaches bite inhibition and boundaries: Through play and wrestling, kittens learn how to control the force of their bites and scratches. When one kitten plays too rough, the other responds immediately, teaching important social limits that humans cannot easily replicate. Faster learning and social development: Kittens learn by watching each other. They often develop appropriate grooming habits, litter box skills, confidence, and social behaviors more quickly when raised with a companion. Reduces loneliness and stress: Kittens thrive on interaction and stimulation. Having a bonded companion provides comfort, companionship, and security, especially when family members are at work, school, or away from home. Helps prevent boredom and destructive behavior: Two kittens are far more likely to keep each other entertained, reducing the chances of unwanted behaviors that can result from boredom, frustration, or excess energy. Provides lifelong companionship: Many kittens form strong bonds with their feline companions, giving them a source of friendship, comfort, and enrichment throughout their lives. While every kitten and family situation is unique, adopting a pair often creates a happier, healthier, and better-adjusted outcome for both the kittens and their adopters.  Our adoption fee's are $250 per kitten or $400 for two.
