Iris is a 2‑year‑old tabby who may be small in size but has a big personality. She enjoys affection and human interaction, and she’ll let you know when she’s had enough with a gentle, respectful hiss. Iris is an independent cat who thrives with people who understand feline boundaries.She has done well greeting nearby cats, though she has never lived with another one. For homes with resident cats, we recommend a two‑week shutdown period to support a smooth introduction. Due to her occasional sassiness, Iris would do best with children 12 and older and in a home without dogs, as she has no prior experience living with them.Iris is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who appreciates a confident cat with a strong sense of self.Iris's adoption fee is $50, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption.Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful.
