Meet Rita!Rita is a beautiful 1-year-old black and white cat with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. Still young and curious, Rita enjoys exploring her surroundings, chasing toys, and finding cozy spots to relax after a busy day of being adorable. Rita is at the perfect age—she still has all the fun, energy, and charm that make young cats such wonderful companions. Her striking black and white coat and bright personality make her impossible to forget. Rita is looking for a loving forever home where she can continue to grow, play, and share her affection with a family of her own. Whether she's entertaining you with her playful antics or snuggling up for some quiet time, Rita is sure to bring joy to every day.Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 816. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday.Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 18 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
