Description
Ranger is six years old and 16 lbs. He's a smart and observant dog who thrives in calm, predictable environments without children. He is fully potty trained, very loyal, and forms a very strong bond with his person. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle. He enjoys simple routines, indoor play like fetch, and being close to his person. While he can be vocal and tends to bark or keep his distance when unsure, this is rooted in his cautious nature rather than aggression. Ranger does best in quiet homes and can become anxious in busy or high-energy environments, especially around children or unfamiliar situations. Because of this, he would do best in an adult-only home with someone patient and experienced who can give him time to decompress, build trust, and provide consistent structure. He has lived with another small dog in the past and did well, though he may need a slow introduction. In the right environment, he relaxes significantly and shows his loving, loyal personality. Ranger truly thrives when he feels safe and understood. He has so much love to give and, with the right home, has the potential to be an incredibly devoted and rewarding companion. Ranger is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He doesn't shed but needs consistent, professional grooming and daily brushing to stay happy and healthy. Please consider this added expense and commitment before applying. His adoption fee is $275 and you can apply to meet him here: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society
