This adorable 15-month-old Shih Tzu mix weighs 16 pounds and may just be the absolute perfect dog. Jacob has never met a stranger and truly does great with everything he meets... literally! His easygoing, affectionate personality makes him a wonderful companion for just about anyone.  He has had a summer hair cut so he now looks a bit different.  Jacob's favorite place in the world is right next to his people. He loves to cuddle and will happily lay pressed up against you, content just being close. Being with his family is what makes him happiest, and he has so much love to give. In addition to being incredibly sweet, Jacob has excellent manners. He is kennel trained, house broken, and knows how to use a dog door. He transitions easily into new routines and is ready to become a beloved member of his forever family. Because of his adaptable nature and loving personality, Jacob would thrive in almost any type of home. Whether you're a single person looking for a devoted companion, a family wanting a gentle addition, or someone searching for a loyal best friend to share quiet evenings with, Jacob is ready to fill that role perfectly. If you're looking for a dog that checks all the boxes—sweet, affectionate, well-mannered, and great with everyone—Jacob is waiting to meet you! Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $300. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 1Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references.
