Description

Meet Pyka, a 4-year-old dog who has endured unimaginable suffering.She has multiple bite wounds and injuries across her body, many in various stages of healing, indicating she has been suffering for quite some time. She also has significant areas of road rash on her left rear leg and right flank. Despite her injuries, Pyka remains ambulatory, but she is suffering from severe muscle wasting due to prolonged malnutrition and lack of proper care.She is now receiving the care she desperately needs, but her road to recovery will be long. Medical treatment, wound care, nutritious food, and a safe place to heal are critical in the coming weeks.We are asking our community to come together for Pyka.This animal is at risk for euthanasia.  If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back
