Madera – Sweet, Curious, and People-Focused Madera is a 5-year-old, 55-pound American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a gentle nature and an affectionate personality. She enjoys spending time with her people, exploring her surroundings, and soaking up attention, making her a lovely companion for both adventures and quiet moments. Easygoing walking partner: Madera walks nicely on leash with minimal pulling, enjoying taking in the sights and smells on her outings. Affectionate and treat motivated: She loves people, especially if they come with string cheese! Madera knows “sit”, “down”, “come”, how to catch treats mid-air, takes treats gently, and happily leans in for pets and scratches. Curious explorer: Madera enjoys sniffing and exploring at her own pace, though she may occasionally chase a tossed ball for fun. Great house manners: She was noted to sleep well in her crate at night, and was very well house trained during her brief foster stay. Some interested in other dogs: She has been observed to calmly watches other dogs with interest but without barking.
