Description

Meet Candy Cane. Candy Cane is a gorgeous, gentle kitten who’s a little shy at first, but is already learning that people are pretty wonderful—especially the snuggly kind. She likes to play and observe from a cozy distance until she feels safe, and she’ll do best with someone patient who enjoys letting trust grow at her pace. Once she bonds with you, she’s incredibly sweet and loves curling up for naps (often joining Socks and Sandals, and happily settling into your lap when she’s feeling secure). She’d love to be adopted with her foster siblings, but she could also thrive as a solo kitten in a calm, loving home.She is available for preadoption so come meet her, fall in love and then pick her up after her spay surgery. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
