COURTESY POSTING FOR MATTHEW WATSON.  Pictures taken on 5/27/2026 - please inquire at 903-393-2754 or at LightsOnNotHome@outlook.com   From Matthew: "This is Boots, around 4 months old, and was abandoned on a county road outside Rusk, TX along with his 3 siblings.  I took them all for vaccinations on 5-24-2026 and the vet did not find any problems with him.  His weight is about 28 pounds, and the vet said he would reach around 50 pounds when fully grown.  Being only 4 months old I have not had him neutered because he is still growing, and I don't want to hurt his development by doing it too soon.  He is not house or crate trained, but he has been in a crate on multiple occasions with his siblings, and I have not had any problems with them.  He is very sweet and loving with me, my parents, and my other rescue dog that I already have, but he has not been around children or cats.  I don't think it will be a problem, however.  He is the most independent and curious of the group and will go explore on his own when he gets bored.   He was the calmest of the bunch when we went to the vet for vaccinations.  He was curious about our chickens, but I never saw him chase them like his sisters, Grendel or Skinnie.  While he is the most independent of the bunch, if things are quiet and I pick him up, he will snuggle into the crook of my arm and snuffle.  I can't care for him long term due to family health issues."   $20 adoption fee.
