Description

Meet Big Jet Big Jet may only be three months old, but he’s already navigating a world that feels much bigger and louder than he ever expected. We won’t sugarcoat it—Big Jet is a very shy kitten. And honestly, can you blame him? Imagine being so tiny, suddenly finding yourself in a busy shelter where the only familiar face is your brother. It’s a lot for any baby to handle.Every day, we spend quiet, gentle time with Big Jet, helping him learn that people can be safe and kind. He’s making slow but meaningful progress. He’ll eat treats while you’re nearby, though he’s not quite brave enough to take them from your hand yet. These baby steps matter, and he’s taking them at his own pace.Because of how scared he still is, Big Jet will need a home that understands patience and the beauty of small victories. He must go home with another confident cat, a calm dog, or older kids who are looking for a summer project that truly changes an animal’s life. With the right family, Big Jet has every chance to blossom into the loving, trusting companion we know he can be.If you believe in gentle encouragement, quiet moments, and the magic of watching a shy kitten come out of his shell, Big Jet is waiting for you.Big Jet's adoption fee is $75, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet!
