SPUD NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Spud      Best Guess for Breed:  Lab mix Best Guess for Age:  6 months as of June 2026         SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  27 lbs as of 6/8/26; is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations: Spud is shy and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes!   Spud is Looking For: Spud and his siblings Sage, Scout, Sully, and Sunny have loved growing up together but now they're ready to split up and get their own homes! Spud is at the tail end of puppyhood - he's got all that awesome young dog energy and wants to play and explore and then snuggle after a fun day together. Right now, though, he's a little shy and needs extra patient and loving adopters who will help him with new experiences at his pace. He'd like a welcoming resident dog who will show him how to dog too!Most of all, though, he wants to know where he belongs, to always be safe and loved. In exchange he promises loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
