Description
When we received a call from the Irvine shelter about a stray little "Boston-ish" dog in need, we simply couldn't say no. Meet Daisy — a 21-pound bundle of cuteness with a heart full of love and one big hurdle standing between her and the happy life she deserves. Daisy has polyps in her right ear that have nearly closed off her entire ear canal. The shelter reached out to ask if Boston Buddies could help provide the medical care she desperately needs, and of course, we said yes. We have extensive experience helping dogs through TECA (Total Ear Canal Ablation) surgeries and other complex ear procedures, and we're committed to giving Daisy every chance at a comfortable, pain-free future. The good news? Aside from her ear issues, Daisy is in great health. She'll be seeing our specialist surgeon in San Diego to determine the best course of action for treating the polyps and getting her back to feeling her best. Because of these appointments and any follow-up care she may need, we're hoping to find a foster home in the San Diego area. The shelter estimated Daisy to be around 8 years old, but our veterinarian believes she may actually be younger. He also thinks she's likely a French Bulldog — perhaps even a Frenchton! We believe Daisy is dog-friendly and would thrive with a family willing to open their hearts to a dog who truly needs a second chance. She's sweet, adorable, and ready to show her foster family just how grateful she can be. Daisy heard that so many wonderful people stepped up to foster Pepper, and she's crossing her paws that one of those amazing families might be willing to help her, too. Could you be the one to change Daisy's life? Please complete a Foster Application here: https://www.bostonbuddies.org/foster-application/ Help us give Daisy the love, comfort, and medical care she deserves while she waits for her forever home. Even if you can't foster, sharing Daisy's story could help her find the perfect family.
