Meet Lila, a 3-year-old mixed breed weighing 28.3 pounds. She may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, she loves with her whole heart. Lila is incredibly affectionate with her people. She loves giving kisses, nuzzling close, and resting her little head on your shoulder while softly snoring in your ear. If you want to feel deeply loved by your pet, Lila is your girl. She tends to be more comfortable with women right away, while men may need to give her a little extra time and patience to earn her trust. She enjoys toys, a good game of fetch, a tasty bone to chew on, and brief walks. One of her favorite places to relax is on the pillows along the back of the couch. Lila is mostly house-trained on a consistent schedule, though she may have accidents as she adjusts to a new home. She keeps her crate clean but finds it stressful and would prefer not to spend much time in it. Her foster has increasingly trusted her to be left loose in the home. Lila does well with the small dogs and cats in her foster home and warms up to new people with patience. She hasn't been exposed to children, but because she can be nervous, older kids who are calm and respectful of her space would likely be the best fit. She is also anxious in the car. If you're looking for a gentle, devoted companion who forms a deep bond with her person, Lila may be the perfect match. Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
