Meet Mary Mary is a beautiful 2-year-old, 60-pound Pit Bull mix who is looking for the fresh start she truly deserves. After being adopted as a puppy, she sadly found herself back at Macomb County Animal Control through no fault of her own. While that wasn't the ending we hoped for, we're determined to help her find the forever family she was always meant to have.Since being with us, Mary has completely stolen our hearts. She is an incredibly sweet, affectionate girl who loves being with the people she trusts. Like many shelter dogs, she can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she has made amazing progress every single day. Once she knows you're a friend, her loving personality shines through.Mary has come a long way with her confidence around men and continues to improve. She simply appreciates people who will let her get to know them at her own pace. A little patience is all it takes, and she'll reward you with endless love, loyalty, and plenty of tail wags.One of Mary's favorite things is spending time with other dogs. She loves playing outside with her canine friends, and we believe she could also do well in a home with cats with slow, proper introductions. And if there's a kiddie pool nearby? Even better! Mary absolutely loves splashing around on warm summer days.Mary is spayed, up to date on all of her vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to start the next chapter of her life. She's looking for someone who sees the incredible dog behind those soulful eyes—a best friend who will love her for the amazing companion she already is.
