Description

General Notes | Meet Noonie, a beautiful black golden retriever and lab mix who is officially retired from mama duties and ready to be the center of someone’s world! After dedicating herself to raising the perfect pups, this sweet girl is more than ready to be pampered, loved, and treated like the queen she is. Noonie is the absolute definition of a gentle soul, carrying that classic, sweet-natured Golden devotion and loyal Lab heart in everything she does. She is incredibly affectionate, always ready to lean in for a quiet cuddle or give you a soft nudge to let you know she’s right there by your side. Having put her motherly duties behind her, Noonie is looking forward to the simple joys of life: cozy beds, leisurely walks, and a family of her own to shower with a lifetime of unconditional love. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP, and an Adoption Coordinator will be in touch within a few days. Our standard application processing timeline is 12 - 14 days. Personality | Noonie has a sweet and gentle nature. She has opened up so much since arriving to CO and is now the neighborhood social butterflyStory | Noonie was dumped in rural Texas very pregnant just days away from giving birth. MHLRM was able to move quickly and get her into a foster home just in time to give birth to 10 perfect babies! We think she's a golden retriever mix who ended up with a black coat as she was dumped with another pregnant golden who is the same size and age as she is! Golden retrievers often end up with black coats when they're mixed with other breeds. :) Noonie was adopted into a wonderful family shortly after arriving to Colorado and unfortunately health issues have necessitated her coming back to MHLRM. Her family is devastated to make this decision but wanted Noonie to have the best care!Other Dogs | Loves other dog friends. She lived with a dog in her first two foster homesCats | Cat tested and did great. She lived with cats in her first two foster homesChildren | Amazing with kids! She absolutely adores kiddos! Training | Working on being more comfortable in her crate - she does well outside her crate as long as a tempting pair of shoes isn't hanging aroundLeash | In progress but doing well! Noonie gets so excited to say hello to everyone she seesActivity Level | Moderate. Health Notes | Noonie is spayed and UTD on vaccines. She tested positive for heartworms shortly after arriving to Colorado and has already started treatment. Treatment is covered in full by Mile High so don't let this be a deterrent in passing up this sweet girl! Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care (that currently average over $750 per dog).
