Description

#A5774334 Meet Jonas , a 9-month-old Aussie cattle dog mix with a soft, speckled coat that looks just like cookies and cream. This young pup hasn’t had the easiest start in life, and it shows - he’s understandably guarded and unsure in the shelter environment. But beneath that fear is a sensitive soul who just needs patience, kindness, and time to feel safe. Jonas will thrive with a dedicated adopter willing to move at his pace, offering gentle reassurance and plenty of TLC as he learns to trust. Even now, he allows soft petting when approached calmly, giving a glimpse of the sweet boy he’s meant to be. Take a chance on this diamond in the rough, and you’ll gain a deeply loyal companion for life!      -9 month old black and white Australian cattle dog mix -36 pound neutered male, but is likely to get a bit bigger as he finishes maturing -may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before he can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 5/4/26 as a stray -very scared and shut down at the shelter, but we still see glimpses of his sweet, inquisitive self -needs an adopter that will go slow and give him plenty of TLC -despite his fear, still accepts gentle pets - clearly wants to connect with his people! -great on leash, potty trained, good with other calm dogs only    JONAS’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/9G1L07GoVaA ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter.
