Description
Animal Information: Newt is an estimated 1- year- old female terrier mix who weighs about 10 pounds. She arrived at Caddo Parish Animal Services in Louisiana as a stray, so not much is known about her background. The shelter environment is overwhelming for her, and she is clearly nervous in the kennel setting. Despite that, Newt has been easy to handle and cooperative with staff. She was housed with other small dogs and did well sharing space with them. Foster Profile: Meet the cutest little gal, Newt! Newt joined us back in April 2026 and has been making a lot of headway with her foster. Newt is a nervous gal and would do best with a patient, quiet household willing to help her acclimate to the world. Newt has shown to be slightly more insecure around men, and would love to have another small, confident, and playful pup in the house to show her the ropes of being a dog. Since Newt has shown to have a bigger bark from time to time, she is looking for a single family home and would not be suitable for apartments. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).
