Description
Hi! My name is Andy and I am looking for my own forever home. I was surrendered along with my sister to a small rescue after my owner decided I was no longer wanted. A volunteer with that rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help and they said yes ... yeah! I appear to be a German short-haired pointer and my foster mom says I've got some beautiful markins on my super soft coat and I'm so sweet. The vet feels I'm about 8 months old and when I first came into foster I was just around 30lbs, but my foster mom is giving me a little extra yummy food and says I'm starting to fill out nicely and should probably be around 40-45lbs when all grown up. I was pretty scared when I first came into foster but everyone has been so nice and now I get lots of attention and treats (both of which I love) and I have really come out of my shell. I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and I enjoy playing with them. While I have only barked at the cats I have seen when in my crate, it might be best to be in a home without them. I have done really well in my crate without any accidents or tearing up any of my bedding and will go right in when asked; however, I would really prefer to be out with you. When I first came into foster, I was so scared I wouldn't walk on leash but now I'm slowly learning about what it's all about and that it means I get to be with you and go on an adventure. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
