Description

These two lovely cats are looking for a new home, directly from their home to yours, hoping to avoid the shelter as an extra stop. From their current mom:  "Loki and Freya are a bonded pair, and I would love to find them a home together. They have been together since they were kittens and have a very special relationship. They aren't from the same litter, but they truly act like brother and sister. They love cuddling together, grooming each other, and playing together every day. Loki is a 5-year-old black cat with a laid-back personality. He's incredibly easygoing, loves sunbathing, and is happiest lounging around and keeping you company. He warms up to new people quickly and is very sweet. While he's not a huge lap cat, he enjoys being held and will happily accept some cuddles before returning to his favorite lounging spot. Loki does have a sensitive stomach, so he does best when a little wet food is mixed with or placed on top of his dry food, which helps his digestion. Freyja is a gray cat with lots of energy and personality. She's playful, affectionate, and loves to cuddle. She may greet strangers with a hiss at first, but her hiss is definitely worse than her bite—she'll often want pets shortly afterward! Once she gets to know someone, she's incredibly loving and sweet. She doesn't enjoy being held very much, but she loves snuggling up next to her people and being part of the action. One of her favorite things in the world is chasing laser pointers and shadows—it's absolutely hilarious to watch, and she could spend hours hunting them down. Both cats currently eat dry food with a little wet food on top, and they do very well with that routine. They are wonderful companions with very different personalities that complement each other perfectly. My hope is to find a loving home willing to keep them together so they can continue sharing the close bond they've had their entire lives." If you'd like to contact the family directly, send us an email at FOACinfo@gmail.com, so we can put you in touch with mom! "My Home to Yours" We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. **For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up!
