Meet Jenkins! Jenkins is an affectionate 7-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat weighing approximately 10 pounds who is ready to find a loving forever home. He came to Rockwall Adoption Center after the people who found him were unable to care for him long-term. Jenkins is a social, talkative guy who absolutely loves attention and companionship. While he may not enjoy being carried around, he's more than happy to follow his people from room to room asking for head scratches and affection. He has a charming personality and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a friendly, interactive cat. Jenkins is litter box trained and currently eating dry adult cat food. His adoption fee is $30, which includes his neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination, and FVRCP vaccine. Jenkins tested FeLV negative, but he is FIV positive. Please don't let that discourage youFIV is fairly common in cats and is only transmissible to other felines, primarily through deep bite wounds. With proper care, routine veterinary attention, and an indoor lifestyle, FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives.
