Meet April, a sweet and resilient little lady looking for a fresh start.April recently lost the person she loved most. When her owner passed away, a plan was made for her future, but unfortunately that arrangement fell through, leaving April back at the shelter through no fault of her own.We believe April was born around 2019 and is a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier/Bobtail mix with a big personality packed into a small body. She is currently carrying a few extra pounds, but don't let that fool you—this girl enjoys getting out for long walks and loves any opportunity to splash around in the water. She's equally happy spending a quiet afternoon curled up on the couch beside her favorite person.April is a smart cookie who quickly mastered her puzzle feeder and enjoys using her brain as much as her legs. She is crate trained, housebroken, and knows basic commands, making her an easy companion to welcome into a home.People are April's favorite thing in the world. She thrives on affection and companionship and would love a family that can give her the attention and love she deserves. While she adores humans, she can be selective about other dogs and would do best with thoughtful introductions or as the only canine companion.After losing everything familiar, April is hoping for a second chance—a home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished once again.
