Astro is an 8 month old Lab mix with handsome yellow Lab looks and a gentle heart. This sweet boy may be a little shy when meeting new people, but he's one of the more confident pups in his litter and is usually the first of them to greet new people. It doesn't take him long to realize that new friends often come with treats, affection, and plenty of love! Once Astro starts to trust you, his true personality begins to shine. He absolutely adores belly rubs and will happily soak up your attention. Like many young dogs, Astro is still learning that a leash leads to exciting adventures and fun experiences. With a little patience and encouragement, he has made a lot of progress and is eager to continue learning alongside a family of his own. Astro also enjoys playing with his siblings, and it’s so entertaining as his silly side comes out! Whether he's romping around the yard, engaging in playful antics, or chasing after his brothers, it's easy to see the joyful, fun-loving pup he is growing into. Astro will thrive in a home that gives him the loving guidance he needs to continue building confidence and learning. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
