Sirius is an 8 month old male Lab mix with a sleek black coat, soulful eyes, and a gentle nature that's impossible not to love. This handsome young boy may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but behind that shyness is an affectionate, loyal heart that Labs are known and loved for. Once Sirius begins to feel comfortable, his sweet personality shines through. He enjoys gentle affection and quietly seeks out connection with the people he trusts. He's the kind of dog who forms meaningful bonds and will be a devoted companion to the family lucky enough to call him their own. Sirius has also done well with other animals. He has been friendly with both dogs and cats he's met, and he even spent time in a volunteer's home where he was well-behaved around her cat. His gentle, easygoing nature makes him a wonderful candidate for a variety of loving homes. As a young pup, Sirius is still learning that a leash leads to exciting adventures and fun experiences. Each day, he is growing more confident and making progress as he discovers that the world isn't so scary after all. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
