Description

Delany is a young kitten who came to us with a severe injury to the right hind limb, resulting in partial loss of the limb. Due to the extent of the injury and the lack of functional tissue remaining, amputation of the affected limb is recommended to prevent ongoing pain, reduce the risk of infection, and improve long-term quality of life.Despite this significant injury, Delany remains bright, resilient, and is doing her best while receiving supportive care. Cats typically adapt remarkably well to life on three legs, but will require surgical intervention and post-operative care that exceed what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Delany needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive the surgical treatment and recovery support necessary to heal and thrive.This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
