PIKE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Pike        Best Guess for Breed:   Shepherd mix Best Guess for Age:  9.5 months as of June 2026          SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  36 lbs as of 6/5/26; likely has a bit more to grow   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.    Pike is Looking For:   His forever family! He came into the shelter a little confused about what was going on - but - he is oh so ready for his new chapter - he's got all that awesome young dog energy and wants to play and explore and then snuggle after a fun day together. Making pup pals is high on his wish list as well - and he'd also like to go to dog school, to learn all about being the bestest boy!Most of all, though, he wants to know where she belongs, to always be safe and loved. In exchange he promises loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say?
