Bailey graduates 6/15. We’d love to have an adopter ready and waiting when she graduates Paws in Prison. Bailey is a beautiful, 2 year old pit bull terrier who came into rescue as an owner surrender. She weighs about 45 pounds. Sadly her leg has been broken in the past and never properly treated, so she does have an occasional limp. Most of the time it doesn't bother her and you would never know about it. She has had a really hard life prior to rescue, and she deserves a chance to know what it's like to have a family of her own to love her. Bailey has been at the Arkansas Paws in Prison Foundation since 4/20, where she’s been paired with inmate trainers who work with her on basic commands, leash walking, house training etc. For commands, so far she has learned sit, down, come, heel, stay, wait, release, speak and focus. Bailey has gotten along well with other dogs. She does well with some cats, although she does best with cats who are not afraid of her. If they run from her, she will chase them. If they will approach her, she will allow them to rub all over her and will even cuddle with them. Good with kids.
