GATOR NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Gator        Best Guess for Breed:  Lab mix  Best Guess for Age:  7 months as of June 2026        SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:   30 lbs as of 6/1/26; he is extremely underweight right now   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Gator is Looking For: His forever family! He came into the shelter terribly underweight but happy and confident on leash! He is oh so ready for his new chapter - he's got all that awesome young dog energy and wants to play and explore and then snuggle after a fun day together. Making pup pals is high on his wish list as well - and he'd also like to go to dog school, to learn all about being the bestest boy!   Most of all, though, he wants to know where she belongs, to always be safe and loved (and appropriately fed!). In exchange he promises loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Can you see him by your side? What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once this pup has spent time in foster care. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
