Description

***I am catching up on my vetting! I will be able to go home to my forever family AFTER JUNE 29th!! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!***    Updated: 6/3/26 Dog Name: Shay Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Pomeranian/ Chihuahua Mix Date of Birth: 7/19/2025  Approximate Weight: 3-4 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Not yet Description: These resilient pups recently came to us from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, where they didn't experience much of the comfort and care that every dog deserves. Now, they're ready to discover what it means to be a cherished family member and have the focus all on them! They are looking for patient, loving homes that understand it might take a little time and patience for them to adjust to their new way of life. For the first time many of these dogs are experiencing safety, the space to run around (including the outdoors), and unconditional love! With your understanding and affection, these sweet dogs are sure to blossom and become the most loyal companions!  Shay is a handsome long-haired Chihuahua with a heart that’s learning how to trust and he’s making progress every single day! He loves laying on the heated blanket at his foster house with his foster siblings! Shay is still timid around new people, but with patience, kindness, and consistency, he’s slowly coming out of his shell. He likes to follow his foster mom around the house like a little shadow. Watching him gain confidence has been incredibly rewarding! He’s currently working on potty training and getting used to a leash. He will need an adopter who understands that he may need a little extra time and encouragement as he continues to learn. Shay does well with children and enjoys the company of other small dogs. He can also peacefully coexist with larger dogs, although they can be intimidating for him at first, so a calm and respectful canine companion would be ideal. Shay is looking for a patient, loving home that will allow him to continue building trust at his own pace. Could you be the person Shay has been waiting for? Adoption Fee: $650
