Oreo's world changed in an instant. This handsome young adult boy, with the sweetest little markings on his nose, was returned to our rescue through no fault of his own. One day he had a home, and the next he found himself back in a shelter cage, quietly waiting and wondering what happened. Since his return, Oreo has spent much of his time sitting quietly in his crate. He doesn't understand why he was left behind. The confusion in his eyes is heartbreaking, because all Oreo wants is someone to love. Despite having his heart broken, Oreo remains one of the gentlest, sweetest cats you'll ever meet. He welcomes affection with open paws and returns it just as eagerly. A soft touch, a kind word, or a few moments of attention are all it takes to make him lean in for more. There isn't a mean bone in this precious boy's body. Oreo is quiet, easygoing, and seems to do well with other cats. But more than anything, we hope he won't have to spend much longer in a shelter environment. He seems out of sorts here, as though he's waiting for someone to come back for him. We would love nothing more than to see him settled into a loving home where he can finally feel secure again.
