Meet Stella, a beautiful 6-year-old German Shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This fun-loving, spirited girl has never met a stranger and loves everyone she encounters. Stella is full of energy and enjoys spending her days playing fetch, stretching her legs, and showing off just how smart she is.Stella is incredibly intelligent and already knows several commands, including sit, shake, down, spin, and speak. She loves learning and is always eager to work for a tasty treat. Her enthusiasm can sometimes get the best of her, though, and she is still working on taking treats gently. Because of this, Stella is looking for a home without young children and would do best with kids who are 16 years of age or older.When it comes to other dogs, Stella gets along well with canine companions. However, she is recommended for a home without cats. She would thrive in a home with a large, securely fenced yard where she can run, play, and burn off some of her endless energy. An adopter with previous German Shepherd experience would be ideal to help this smart girl continue to succeed.Stella is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment. The good news is that all treatment costs are covered by MCAC, and her diagnosis certainly hasn't slowed her down. She remains the same happy, spunky, and affectionate dog she has always been.Stella is truly a special girl with so much love, loyalty, and fun to offer her future family.
