General info
Description
Meet Coco, the 2 year old white Siberian husky! She came into the shelter with her brother, Tucker. Coco takes a little more time to open up with strangers than her outgoing brother, but she is just as loving when she gets to know you! She loves to play with toys, and is a little less interested in playtime with other dogs. She is a curious girl, and like her brother, she would do well in a home where she gets plenty of mental and physical stimulation to help get all that Husky energy out. She lived in a home where he had brief interactions with children and a cat, however adopters should always do a slow introduction with any resident pets to make sure everything goes smoothly. Tucker and Coco were outside dogs in their previous home, but we always recommend dogs stay inside as much as possible to keep them safe and healthy. They might need some time to adjust to indoor living. If you are looking for a fluffy white snowball to fill your life with glee, come meet Coco! Coco is available for preadoptionâcome meet her, fall in love, and take her home after her spay surgery! The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering âPawsitivity Bucksâ with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
